Elena Vitz established Linguamorphosis over 10 years ago after working in public and private schools in Canada and Latvia. She is fully bilingual in English and Russian which helps her understand the specific chal-lenges her Russian-speaking students experience in the process of ac-quiring English.
Elena holds a Masters Degree in English Philology, University of Latvia and Human Resources Diploma, Honours from Humber College, Cana-da.
She has over 25 years of experience teaching General English, Busi-ness English and professional English, such as Medical and Financial.
She also worked as a simultaneous interpreter at International medical congresses and business negotiations. She translated a series “Busi-ness Russian for English speakers”.
Her typical students are educated professionals who need English to advance in their careers or continue education. Clear and concise communication is a must for them, so Elena pays a lot of attention to honing her students pronunciation skills, making them sound natural and confident. She has actors and business people among her clients, and helps to prepare them for auditions and presentations.
She believes in the integrated approach and teaches reading, writing, lis-tening and speaking through a progression of levels according to Com-mon European Framework, and aligned with Canadian Language Benchmarks. Elena teaches Standard American English which is the variant of North-American English spoken by university-educated native speakers in a professional setting.
